paysafecard
Voucher / eCash for iGaming: coverage, fees, and how to accept it
What operators ask about paysafecard
Is paysafecard safe?
Yes. paysafecard's UK e-money issuer holds an FCA license dating from 2018, and two Paysafe entities hold Central Bank of Ireland e-money authorizations for the EEA. A paysafecard deposit cannot be reversed by the player, which leaves the operator with zero chargebacks on this volume.
How much does paysafecard charge?
- Operators pay 9.5-15% of volume, tiered by monthly volume.
- There is no setup fee, subscription or rolling reserve.
- Players buy vouchers in 40+ local currencies and pay no separate FX fee.
- A payout to the player's myPaysafe account costs the player nothing.
Which online casinos accept paysafecard?
Entain (bwin, partypoker, Ladbrokes, Coral), 888, PokerStars, William Hill, Mr Green and Tipico take paysafecard. A casino already on one of the four PSPs that carry it, or on the SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix, GiG CoreX and MoneyMatrix platforms, switches it on without a separate build.
Where is paysafecard available?
paysafecard is sold in 50+ countries, deepest in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Greece and the UK. It also issues in Canada, the US, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Australia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE. Brazil, most of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa have no paysafecard coverage.
What is paysafecard?
Background and how it fits the cashier
paysafecard is a prepaid voucher and eCash method owned by Paysafe Ltd (NYSE: PSFE). Players buy a 16-digit PIN for cash and spend it online, and Paysafecash, myPaysafe and PaysafeWallet run on the same balance. Paysafe also owns Skrill, Neteller, PagoEfectivo and SafetyPay.
Products
paysafecard runs four products on one balance. The 16-digit voucher PIN is bought with cash, used once and redeemable at any participating merchant in the voucher's currency. With Paysafecash the operator generates a barcode that the player prints or screenshots and pays in cash at the same outlets, without buying a voucher first. myPaysafe is the registered account that consolidates voucher balances and receives the operator's payouts. PaysafeWallet, its successor, adds an IBAN, a debit card, SEPA transfers, gift card purchases and Mastercard ATM access, and a paysafecard Mastercard issued in several countries lets players take the balance out at ATMs. An operator uses PIN deposits, Paysafecash barcode deposits and payouts into myPaysafe, all under one contract through the Paysafe Gateway.
Key features. Prepaid 16-digit PIN, 627,502 retail outlets, zero chargebacks, AMLD5-compliant tiered KYC
Verticals
iGaming has been a named priority vertical since paysafecard launched in 2000, and paysafecard runs a dedicated iGaming commercial team separate from its general merchant onboarding. Online casinos and sportsbooks took it up in the early 2000s, because a prefunded voucher ended the chargeback losses of card-funded gambling. Outside gambling it serves video gaming, where Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo accept it in 20+ countries, along with social media and dating, telecom top-ups, music and digital content, retail, online trading and forex, travel and airlines, and crypto on-ramps.
Background
2000: paysafecard launched in Vienna to turn cash into an online payment method, starting in Austria.
2001: paysafecard went live in Germany.
2005: EU eTEN funding carried paysafecard into Slovenia, Greece, Slovakia, Spain and the UK.
2011: paysafecard bought the Dutch competitor Wallie.
2013: Skrill acquired paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG, the company behind paysafecard.
2015: In April Skrill folded the British competitor Ukash into the paysafecard brand. The same year Optimal Payments acquired the Skrill Group and renamed the combined business Paysafe Group.
2018: Paysafecash, the barcode eCash product, launched.
2023: paysafecard launched its account and card offering, moving the product mix from a pure voucher toward an account-and-card stack while the 16-digit PIN stayed the brand's consumer face.

Operators That Accept paysafecard
Entain, which runs bwin, partypoker, Ladbrokes and Coral, takes paysafecard, and 888 and PokerStars offer it on their cashiers. William Hill, Mr Green and Tipico are long-standing paysafecard merchants. Playtech and Evolution integrate paysafecard through their platforms for their operator customers. GiG CoreX added paysafecard with the full Paysafe stack in October 2024 across the UK, Europe, North America and LATAM, and in January 2026 Pay.com named Paysafe a recommended acquirer with paysafecard included as an APM. PSP and platform connections also put paysafecard in the cashiers of casinos that never integrated it directly.
How Users Fund paysafecard
Where the balance comes from before it lands at your cashier
Players load their voucher / ecash balance one of these ways before they deposit at your site.
- Cash at retail
- Voucher PIN
- Cards
- Bank transfer
How the flow works
Players buy a paysafecard PIN with cash at supermarkets, gas stations, kiosks and post offices, in denominations of 10 to 100 EUR, USD, GBP or AUD. A myPaysafe account also takes card top-ups, which go through 3DS at the player's issuer. At the cashier the player enters the 16-digit PIN, and the funds move from the prepaid balance to the operator with no card number or bank account in the flow. Payouts run the other way, from the operator through the payout API into the player's myPaysafe account, and refunds use the REST refund endpoint. Crypto stays outside this flow: Paysafe launched Pay with Crypto through MoonPay in April 2026 for US iGaming, and it runs through the Paysafe Gateway as a separate method.
Fees & Limits
What you pay to accept it, and what the player pays to use it
Operator side
9.5‑15%Tiered by monthly volume: 15% at low volume, falling to 9.5% above EUR 350,000 a month. paysafecard charges no setup fee and no monthly subscription. Selected industries and PSP partners that resell paysafecard get their own rates, and inside a Nuvei, Worldpay or Adyen agreement the rate follows that PSP's contract. The rate covers retail distribution through 627,502 outlets and zero chargeback liability for the operator.
User side
No separate FX fee (40+ local currencies)
Withdrawal. Free (operator-side payouts to myPaysafe)
Limits. Voucher: EUR 50 per payment (GBP 40 in the UK), one PIN or several. paysafecard account: EUR 500 a month, or EUR 1,000 per transaction and a EUR 5,000 balance once fully verified.
Pricing details
paysafecard charges the operator 15% at low volume, and the rate drops to 9.5% once monthly volume passes EUR 350,000, with no setup fee, no monthly subscription and no rolling reserve. Selected industries and PSP partners that resell paysafecard get their own rates, and inside a PSP agreement the rate follows that PSP's contract. At the 9.5% tier a EUR 400,000 month costs EUR 38,000 in fees, while Trustly charges 0-1% for open banking and Worldpay 1.5-3.5% for card acquiring. The fee buys retail distribution, zero chargeback liability and a brand players have known since 2000, so paysafecard pays off only on deposits that would not close any other way: card-declined players, players who refuse to share bank details and players paying cash. Put at the top of the cashier instead of behind a card or bank rail, it burns margin on deposits that would have closed anyway. Settlement also holds money back. On a 30-day month the monthly cycle keeps a deposit 29 days on average before it reaches the operator, so a EUR 400,000 month keeps an average of EUR 386,667 in transit, all of which the operator gets back in full. On the player side, vouchers sell in 40+ local currencies with no separate FX fee, and a payout into myPaysafe costs the player nothing. paysafecard deducts EUR 3 a month from the remaining credit of an unredeemed voucher from month 2, and in the US $2 a month once a PIN sits unused for 24 months. An account with no transaction for 12 months pays a monthly fee from month 13: EUR 5 in most euro markets, EUR 2.80 in Austria and EUR 2 in Germany.
Negotiation tips
Price paysafecard as a recovery cost and track the deposits it adds against the fee you pay on them. In high-decline markets (UK gambling card blocks, several US states, German player-protection rules) it rescues 5-10% of attempted deposits and covers its fee on that volume, while in a low-decline market the same fee lands on deposits that would have closed on a card. Once you run more than EUR 350,000 a month through paysafecard alone, push for a rate below the bottom tier. If you already process with a PSP that carries paysafecard, get that PSP's rate against the direct tiers before you switch it on, because the PSP contract sets it. On tight working capital, book paysafecard volume in the cash flow model as money that lands weeks after the deposit.

Deposits are instant: the gateway validates the PIN server-side and the casino balance updates in 1 to 2 seconds. Payouts leave the operator through the payout API and land in the player's myPaysafe account instantly, while moving that balance on to a bank account takes 3-5 business days by SEPA or local transfer. Skrill credits its wallet within 24 hours and moves money on to a bank in 1-3 days, so a paysafecard player holds the winnings sooner but reaches the bank later. A refund returns to the voucher or myPaysafe balance it came from within the same daily batch. Settlement to the operator is the slow leg. paysafecard pays on T+14 for a monthly cycle and T+21 for a twice-monthly one, counted from the close of the cycle. A deposit made on the 1st of a 30-day month therefore arrives after 44 days on the monthly cycle, and one made on the first day of a twice-monthly period after 36 days. Trustly settles T+1 and Nuvei T+2 to T+7, so a deposit that waits 44 days on paysafecard reaches a Trustly operator the next business day.

KYC / AML
Full autoPlayers verify inside paysafecard under AMLD5 rules. An anonymous PIN payment stops at EUR 50 (GBP 40 in the UK), every casino or betting payment in 21 European countries needs a registered myPaysafe account, and full verification lifts the account to EUR 1,000 per transaction. Any withdrawal requires full KYC. Operators still run their own player KYC under their MGA or UKGC license, because paysafecard does not exempt the casino.
Chargeback liability
Provider absorbsVouchers are prefunded and each PIN is spent once, with no card or credit line behind the payment for a player to dispute. A deposit is final once Capture Payment succeeds.
Fraud prevention
PIN status engine, geo-risk scoring, velocity limits, 3DS on card top-upsEach 16-digit PIN carries a status of valid, used or blocked, checked server-side on every redemption. Geo-risk rules block PINs bought in high-risk jurisdictions from being spent at unrelated merchants. Velocity limits per voucher, per merchant and per day sit on top of the AMLD5 thresholds, and card-funded myPaysafe top-ups go through 3DS at the player's issuer.
Responsible gambling
YesVouchers come in fixed denominations of 10 to 100 EUR, USD, GBP or AUD, which caps what a player loads at once, in line with the deposit-limit rules of the UKGC, the MGA and German GlüStV.
Compliance context
Prepaid Services Company Ltd, paysafecard's UK issuer, has held an FCA e-money license since 2018, and it covers Paysafe business beyond paysafecard. Paysafe Prepaid Services Ltd and Paysafe Payment Solutions Ltd carry the EEA business after Brexit as e-money institutions authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland. paysafecard.com Schweiz GmbH holds a Swiss financial intermediary license that covers issuance in Switzerland and Australia, and US issuance runs through The Bancorp Bank as program bank, whose charter meets state money-transmission rules. In US gaming, Paysafe Merchant Services Corp., Paysafecard.com USA and Skrill USA hold vendor or supplier registrations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia and Colorado, with a West Virginia supplier license for each. Parent Paysafe has held PCI DSS Level 1 since 2001 for the gateway paysafecard runs on, and a paysafecard deposit brings no card data into the operator's compliance scope. Operators carry no chargeback liability, because the voucher is prefunded, the PIN is used once and no card or credit line stands behind it, so a deposit is final once Capture Payment succeeds. Each PIN carries a server-side status of valid, used or blocked that is checked on every redemption, and geo-risk rules stop PINs bought in high-risk jurisdictions from being spent at unrelated merchants. Player KYC runs fully automated under AMLD5. Anonymous use stops at EUR 150 of stored value and EUR 50 per online payment, every casino or betting payment in 21 European countries needs a registered myPaysafe account, and any withdrawal requires full KYC. paysafecard's checks do not exempt the casino, which still runs its own player KYC under MGA, UKGC and German GlüStV rules and verifies identity before withdrawals. Fixed voucher denominations cap what a player loads at once, in line with the deposit-limit rules of those three regimes. paysafecard faces no major regulatory enforcement action, and the shareholder lawsuits against parent Paysafe over its financial disclosures are a corporate matter that does not touch the voucher.

Geographic Coverage
Where the method is available to players
paysafecard is sold in 50+ countries and had 627,502 physical sales outlets in April 2026. Its deepest coverage runs across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, the UK and Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Nordics, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and the Baltics. Beyond Europe its strongest markets are Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, and it also issues in Uruguay. Sub-Saharan Africa, most of Asia (Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, India and China) and the rest of South America, Brazil included, have no paysafecard network, so an operator there gets nothing from adding it.
Regional breakdown
Germany and Austria: Germany is paysafecard's strongest single market, a household method for digital content, gaming and casino deposits, and Austria, its home market, ranks second. Switzerland is a deep paysafecard market as well. Southern Europe: In Italy, Spain and Portugal paysafecard ranks among the top three cashier options for low-ticket deposits. OPAP and other Greek operators carry it, which makes Greece a bigger paysafecard market than its size suggests. UK, Ireland and the EU wallet markets: The UK, the Netherlands and Belgium are deep paysafecard markets. In 2026 PaysafeWallet rolled out across 18 European markets (Germany, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Belgium, Portugal, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Malta), which gives players in those countries an IBAN account behind the same balance. Nordics: paysafecard issues across the region, but Swedish and Finnish players default to bank-based deposits, so it carries a smaller share of the deposit mix. Latin America: Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Paraguay are paysafecard's strongest markets in the region, and it also issues in Uruguay. Argentina shows high uptake because players use vouchers to work around currency controls. Colombia and Chile have no paysafecard issuance, so a book built on them needs a local-methods provider. North America: paysafecard issues in Canada and the US and serves operators licensed in Ontario. The US is the smallest of its major markets, because card processing dominates there and issuance through The Bancorp Bank adds friction.
Integration & Tech
How the method reaches your cashier, and what is pre-built
Operators reach paysafecard three ways. Paysafe, Nuvei, Worldpay and Adyen carry paysafecard, and Global Payments offers it as an alternative payment method, so an operator already on any of these PSPs turns it on as a configuration job in days. SoftSwiss runs it as a native cashier method, EveryMatrix exposes it through SlotMatrix, and GiG CoreX and MoneyMatrix carry prebuilt connectors. paysafecard is also a regulated e-money issuer that signs operators directly, through a REST merchant API that covers KYB onboarding, settlement reporting and refunds, with the legacy SOAP gateway (SOPG) still serving older builds. A direct REST build takes 1-3 weeks and KYB adds 2-4 weeks for compliance review, gambling-license checks and AML risk rating, while Paysafe onboards a high-risk merchant in 3-6 weeks. A full REST and SOAP sandbox is open before contract signing. The build has one timing rule: the operator has 10 minutes between PIN allocation and Capture Payment, and funds not captured in that window go back to the player. One Paysafe contract covers paysafecard together with the Skrill and Neteller wallets and card acquiring.

Who Is paysafecard Best For?
Where this method fits, and where it doesn't
paysafecard belongs on the cashier of European casinos and sportsbooks, mid-market to enterprise, whose players pay cash, get declined by their card issuer or keep gambling off their card statements. It runs as the fallback beside the main card or open-banking rail and recovers deposits that fail on cards.
Recommended for
- Casinos in DACH, Italy, Iberia and Greece. Players in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece already know the green paysafecard logo. When your players sit in those markets, a cashier without it loses deposits that a card or bank rail does not pick up.
- Operators hit by gambling card blocks. Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Tennessee and Illinois, along with European card issuers, block card transactions under MCC 7995. A voucher deposit is funded in cash and never touches the issuer, so a player refused on the card still gets the money into your cashier.
- Books built on small cash deposits. If your average deposit sits at EUR 50 or less, one voucher payment covers it, and adults without a credit card and students top up that way in cash. Outside the 21 European countries where gambling payments need a registered myPaysafe account, players who stay inside the anonymous limits keep their deposits off card statements.
- Operators on a PSP that carries it. If your cashier already runs on Paysafe, Nuvei, Worldpay or Adyen, switching paysafecard on is a configuration job of days, with no new build.
Not recommended for
- VIP and high-roller books. A fully verified paysafecard account stops at EUR 1,000 per payment and holds at most EUR 5,000, so a player depositing EUR 10,000 at once can use it only for the smallest top-ups. NETELLER fits that player: its wallet loads by bank transfer at $20-$100k per transaction, and operators accept it for free.
- Crypto-first casinos. paysafecard is fiat-only, so a book where BTC, USDT or ETH carry most deposits needs a crypto processor as its main rail. CoinsPaid settles crypto to the operator instantly, and CoinGate is MiCA-authorized by the Bank of Lithuania for books that need an EU license behind the rail.
- Books focused on Colombia, Chile, Asia or Africa. In Latin America paysafecard issues only in Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay, and it has no network in sub-Saharan Africa or most of Asia. PayRetailers acquires directly in Colombia and Chile at 1.5-3% per deposit. Nuvei reaches 44 markets through local rails, Nigeria, South Africa, the Philippines and Japan among them.
- Operators short on working capital. On paysafecard's monthly cycle, which pays 14 days after the cycle closes, money deposited on day 1 of a 30-day month reaches you 44 days later. Skrill settles T+1 to T+3, so a book that funds payouts from recent deposits keeps its cash moving on the Paysafe wallet instead.
Pros & Cons
The trade-offs of putting paysafecard on the cashier
Pros
- Carries zero chargeback liability for the operator, because each PIN is prefunded and spent once, so no deposit comes back months later as a dispute.
- Asks for no setup or monthly fee and holds no reserve, while Worldpay's reserve runs 8-15% for 6 months, so none of the operator's paysafecard money sits locked as collateral.
- Pays players into myPaysafe instantly, while a Skrill payout takes up to 24 hours to reach the wallet.
- Ships prebuilt on SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix, GiG CoreX and MoneyMatrix, which lets casinos on those platforms add it without a build.
Cons
- Costs 9.5-15% of volume, against 1.5-3.5% for card acquiring at Worldpay, so every deposit that would have closed on a card loses margin here.
- Pays the operator at T+14 or T+21 after each cycle closes, which keeps 29 days of deposits in transit on average on the monthly cycle.
- Caps an anonymous voucher payment at EUR 50, or GBP 40 in the UK, and even a verified account at EUR 1,000 a payment with a EUR 5,000 balance, which shuts VIP deposits out.
- In 21 European countries paysafecard requires a registered myPaysafe account for each casino or betting payment, and the anonymous cash voucher alone cannot complete the deposit.
- A casino with BTC, USDT or ETH depositors needs a separate crypto processor, because paysafecard takes no crypto.
- Colombia, Chile, sub-Saharan Africa and most of Asia have no paysafecard network.
Reputation
What players and merchants say in public reviews
Trustpilot
Reviewers praise reliability, privacy and a PIN entry that is faster than a card form.
Review analysis
paysafecard's Trustpilot profile has kept its shape since 2020, when 81% of reviewers gave five stars and 3% gave one. Complaints about fees come from the monthly deductions on unredeemed vouchers and dormant accounts, often from users who got a voucher as a gift and found the charge later. A failed SMS activation code at the point of sale can cost the buyer a EUR 10-100 voucher with little recourse, and bank withdrawals from myPaysafe sometimes stall for weeks with thin support visibility.
Context for operators
The one-shot purchase explains the rating: a voucher sale leaves no ongoing relationship to break, no card to decline and no chargeback path. paysafecard's 4.6 sits above Skrill's 3.7 from 27,768 reviews and AstroPay's 4.1 from 9,639, and it reflects voucher purchases and balance management, not paysafecard's onboarding or its commercial dealings with operators. The effect on the operator shows up in its own complaints, because a player whose card is declined and who then pays by voucher does not blame the casino.
FAQ
The questions operators ask about paysafecard
What is paysafecard and who owns it?▾
paysafecard is a prepaid voucher and eCash method founded in Vienna in 2000 and sold as a 16-digit PIN that players pay for in cash and spend online. Skrill bought it in 2013, and it has sat inside Paysafe Group, now Paysafe Ltd (NYSE: PSFE), since Optimal Payments acquired Skrill in 2015.
How fast are paysafecard deposits and withdrawals?▾
Deposits clear in 1 to 2 seconds, and a casino payout lands in the player's myPaysafe account instantly. The onward transfer to a bank takes 3-5 business days.
When does paysafecard pay the operator?▾
paysafecard settles T+14 on a monthly cycle or T+21 on a twice-monthly one, counting from the day the cycle closes. On the monthly cycle, money from the first day of a 30-day month arrives 44 days later.
What are the paysafecard limits at online casinos?▾
An anonymous voucher payment stops at EUR 50 (GBP 40 in the UK), whether the player uses one PIN or several. A paysafecard account allows EUR 500 a month until it is fully verified, and then EUR 1,000 per transaction and a EUR 5,000 balance.
Is paysafecard anonymous at online casinos?▾
Not in 21 European countries, where every casino or betting payment needs a registered myPaysafe account. Elsewhere anonymous use stops at EUR 50 per online payment and EUR 150 of stored value, any withdrawal needs full KYC, and the casino still runs its own KYC under its license.
What fees do players pay with paysafecard?▾
Players pay no separate FX fee, because vouchers sell in 40+ local currencies, and a payout into myPaysafe costs them nothing. Idle money costs them: EUR 3 a month comes off an unredeemed voucher starting in month 2, and an account idle for 12 months pays EUR 5 a month in most euro markets.
Can US players use paysafecard at online casinos?▾
Yes. paysafecard issues in the US through The Bancorp Bank, and Paysafecard.com USA is one of three Paysafe entities with gaming vendor registrations in PA, NJ, MI, WV and CO. Among its major markets the US ranks smallest, because card processing dominates there.
Does paysafecard support crypto deposits?▾
No, paysafecard is fiat-only. Paysafe's separate Pay with Crypto method, run with MoonPay for US iGaming since April 2026, goes through the Paysafe Gateway and not the voucher. A crypto-first casino adds CoinsPaid at 0.8-1% or CoinGate, which holds a MiCA authorization from the Bank of Lithuania.
How do casinos integrate paysafecard?▾
A casino on a PSP or platform that already carries paysafecard switches it on in days: Paysafe, Nuvei, Worldpay, Adyen, SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix, GiG CoreX and MoneyMatrix all do. A direct contract takes 1-3 weeks of REST work plus 2-4 weeks of KYB.
paysafecard vs Skrill: which should a casino offer?▾
Skrill charges operators 1.9-2.9% plus a fixed fee and settles T+1 to T+3, while paysafecard charges 9.5-15% and settles 14 to 21 days after each cycle closes. Players who fund a Skrill wallet with paysafecard pay up to 5%. Skrill fits players who already hold a wallet, and paysafecard fits cash-paying and card-declined players with small deposits.
paysafecard vs Trustly: which is better for European casinos?▾
Trustly charges 0-1%, settles T+1 and pays players out in under 6 seconds. paysafecard costs 9.5-15% and pays the operator on T+14 or T+21. Trustly fits bank-funded players as the main rail, and paysafecard fits the cash-paying and card-declined players Trustly cannot reach, as the fallback.
paysafecard vs AstroPay: which works for Latin America?▾
AstroPay covers 25 countries at 1-2.5% with T+1 to T+2 settlement and runs its wallet in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Chile. paysafecard's Latin American issuance covers five countries: Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay. AstroPay fits a LATAM-first book, and paysafecard fits a European book with players in Mexico, Argentina, Peru or Paraguay on the side.
Our Verdict on paysafecard
Final read for iGaming operators
Adding paysafecard brings a European operator deposits that its card and bank rails lose, and none of them can be charged back. In return the operator pays a tiered fee on every one of those deposits and waits weeks past each cycle's close for the money. The call turns on the deposit mix: where issuers block MCC 7995 and players pay cash, the recovered volume covers the fee, while in Sweden or Finland, where players default to bank deposits, the method adds cost for little volume.
Strongest
A player can buy a PIN with cash at any of 627,502 outlets, so paysafecard reaches people whose card issuer blocks gambling or who hold no card at all.
Limitation
paysafecard's lowest rate is 9.5%, reached only above EUR 350,000 a month, so a EUR 400,000 month takes EUR 38,000 in fees, while Nuvei charges 1.5-3.5% on card deposits.
Recommendation
Add paysafecard if your players are in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Greece, the UK, Mexico, Argentina or Canada, and run it behind your main card or open-banking rail as the fallback. Take it through the PSP you already run, and once your paysafecard volume passes EUR 350,000 a month, set that PSP's rate against a direct paysafecard contract.
paysafecard vs. Alternatives
When another rail does the same job better, and what pairs with it
Operators whose players bank online belong on Trustly, which settles T+1, with paysafecard as the cash fallback behind it. A LATAM-first book takes AstroPay, because players there load its wallet through SPEI, OXXO cash, Mercado Pago and PSE. A crypto-first casino takes CoinsPaid, which settles crypto instantly. VIP players go to NETELLER, where a bank transfer into the wallet runs $20-$100k per transaction and operators pay nothing to accept it. Operators that want the voucher, Paysafe's two wallets and card acquiring in one agreement sign with Paysafe.
Trustly
Open Banking PSP
Choose Trustly as your main rail if most of your players bank online in regulated Europe. Trustly charges 0-1% and settles T+1, against paysafecard's T+14 or T+21, and returns winnings to the player's bank in under 6 seconds, while you keep paysafecard behind it for cash-paying and card-declined players.
Nuvei
Full-Stack PSP
Choose Nuvei if you want card acquiring and paysafecard under one contract. Nuvei resells paysafecard inside its own agreement, charges 1.5-3.5% and reaches 44 markets through local rails, though it holds a 5-10% reserve for 6 months where a direct paysafecard contract holds none.
Paysafe
Full-Stack PSP
Choose Paysafe if you want paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller and card acquiring in one agreement. Paysafe charges 1-2.9% and settles T+3, with a $250k+ monthly minimum and a $500-1,500 monthly fee that a direct paysafecard contract does not charge.
