Our Verdict: Should You Bank With Transferra?
Final assessment for iGaming operators, studios and affiliates
Tier 2: register-verified and gambling stated on its own site
Summary
Transferra Un Limited has held an FCA e-money authorization since December 2021 and sells a multi-currency account in 40+ currencies with GB, MT and LT IBANs plus US ACH details, SEPA Instant, SWIFT to 200+ countries, Visa cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, an API and bulk payouts. The IBANs are virtual accounts issued by Clear Junction and OpenPayd and the cards come from Wallester, so a de-risking decision at any of those three reaches Transferra's gambling clients directly. Pricing is public from EUR 49 a month, onboarding is promised in three business days, and the Trustpilot score of 4.1 is the best among the EMIs in this section, although a quarter of reviewers report refusals without explanation. Transferra addresses iGaming in a single July 2025 blog post and nowhere on its main pages, names no clients, and lost GBP 1.38 million in 2024 on GBP 3.93 million of assets.
Strongest Point
Breadth per euro. For EUR 49 to EUR 399 a month an operator gets 40+ currencies, three IBAN jurisdictions, US ACH, SEPA Instant and Visa cards in one login, with FX at interbank plus 0.5% and the onboarding clock set at days. Transferra also says out loud which businesses it wants, licensed operators, affiliates and service providers, and mentions UK, EU, Isle of Man, Curaçao and Malta licensees, which puts it ahead of the licensees here that stay silent on offshore paperwork.
Key Limitation
Dependency and thin footing. Every IBAN is partner-issued and the card program belongs to Wallester, so Transferra's own authorization does not change who holds the account numbers, and the account is only as durable as three third-party risk appetites. The company is five years old, closed 2024 with a GBP 1.38 million loss against GBP 3.93 million of assets, names no clients, and keeps its iGaming case in a blog post instead of a product page. A 25% one-star share on 88 reviews, mostly refusals with no reason given, is the smaller worry.
Recommendation
Use Transferra when you need many currencies and a card program quickly and cheaply, and treat it as a working account rather than the treasury: keep reserves with a licensee that issues its own IBANs. Ask which partner will issue your IBAN and confirm that partner accepts your license before you pay the setup amount, because the IBAN issuer applies its own risk policy to a gambling client whatever Transferra agreed at signup.
