Our Verdict: Should You Bank With Bankera?
Final assessment for iGaming operators, studios and affiliates
Tier 2: register-verified and gambling stated on its own site
Summary
Bankera is not the licensee. Era Finance Ltd, the Maltese company behind the brand, is a registered intermediary of UAB Pervesk, the Lithuanian e-money institution that issues the money and holds the client funds, and the Bank of Lithuania fined Pervesk EUR 130,000 with a warning on August 26, 2025, for failures in assessing high-risk clients and foreign financial institutions, in transaction monitoring and in staff training. It was the second fine, after EUR 244,000 in 2018. The account product itself is broad: an IBAN, SEPA Instant, SWIFT, corporate cards, three APIs (account, merchant, open banking), mass payments by file import or API, and a separate client-funds account for B2C operators, with the Lithuanian Gaming Control Authority blacklist as the only stated exclusion. Fees are published, which is rare here. Set against that are 787 Trustpilot reviews at 2.0, a third of them one star, and the trail of Bankera ICO money that moved through Pervesk to Pacific Private Bank in Vanuatu, a bank the founders own, which OCCRP documented.
Strongest Point
Breadth and a price list. Bankera covers the IBAN, instant euro payments, SWIFT, team cards and affiliate mass payouts in one account, names iGaming operators and PSPs in its price tier, and publishes the fees for that tier, so an operator knows the cost before the compliance file opens. The separate client-funds account for B2C operators is a piece of structure most providers in this section leave to the operator to arrange.
Key Limitation
The counterparty. The contract is with a Maltese agent, the money sits with a Lithuanian EMI fined twice for anti-money-laundering failures, and the 2025 finding concerned the risk assessment of high-risk clients, which is the category an iGaming operator falls into. A supervisor that has just told Pervesk to tighten high-risk onboarding will be watching the gambling book, and an operator on that book will feel it as slower reviews and more frozen balances. Trustpilot already shows the pattern that matters for a settlement account: 2.0 on 787 reviews, with held funds (one February 2026 case describes EUR 300,000 blocked since January 16) and the non-refundable EUR 900 application fee as the recurring complaints. No accepted-license list exists, so a Curaçao-licensed operator learns whether the door is open only after paying the fee, and the currencies on the account are unstated.
Recommendation
Treat Bankera as an account you open for a specific rail, such as SEPA Instant settlements from a PSP or affiliate mass payouts, rather than the home of your float, and keep the balance at what you could afford to have frozen while a compliance review runs. Read the Bank of Lithuania's 2025 decision on Pervesk before you pay the EUR 900 application fee, and get a written answer on whether your license qualifies before the money leaves. If you want a licensee rather than an agent as the counterparty, the licensees in this section are the better pick.

- Bank of Lithuania fined Pervesk EUR 130,000 in August 2025 and EUR 244,000 in 2018, both for AML failures
- Trustpilot 2.0 on 787 reviews, 33% one star, with frozen balances and the non-refundable application fee as recurring complaints
- Bankera ICO funds moved through Pervesk to a founder-owned bank in Vanuatu
- No accepted-license list; currencies and safeguarding terms unstated
