What the rule actually is in Denmark
Our own reading, not a summary of someone else's
Spillemyndigheden-licensed, 28% of GGR in tax, a DKK68,700 application fee for 2026 and annual fees scaled to revenue from DKK60,900. The market is mature and liberal, with MitID identity and the ROFUS self-exclusion register wired into every licensed cashier. Enforcement runs through the courts rather than by regulator order: in June 2025 the Frederiksberg Court approved DNS blocks on 178 illegal sites, the largest single action since the market opened in 2012.
How money actually moves
The rails players reach for, in the order that matters locally
- MobilePaydominant
mobile money
Leading DK wallet (Vipps MobilePay group); on virtually every licensed site; needs proper MobilePay acquiring.
- Dankortmajor
local cards
Danish national debit scheme (often Visa co-badged); needs Dankort-capable acquiring.
- Trustlymajor
instant bank transfer
The pay-by-bank alternative to MobilePay, and it carries withdrawals cleanly, which Dankort does not.

Aggregated or indirect
5The rail is reachable, but through an aggregator, a local PSP or a wallet rather than directly.
Evidence grades run from named clients through platform catalogs and industry knowledge down to a provider's own claim. A claim we could not corroborate is still shown, labelled as what it is. See our methodology.
