What the rule actually is in Peru

Our own reading, not a summary of someone else's

Law 31557 has been in force since February 2024, with MINCETUR licensing, supervising and enforcing, and more than 60 operators now authorized. Operators pay 12% on net gaming revenue plus a 1% excise on every online bet added by Legislative Decree 1644 in September 2024. Crypto is barred as a direct deposit method, so fiat gateways carry the whole cashier. MINCETUR's enforcement reach is the part that matters for payments: it can order IP restrictions and payment blocks against unlicensed operators, with fines up to S/990,000 and criminal exposure behind them.

What it costs to operate, and who enforces

A missing field means we have not verified one, not that none exists

Operator tax

12% of net gaming revenue plus a 1% excise on every online bet (Leg. Decree 1644)

Licence economics

MINCETUR authorization; 60+ operators licensed; fines to S/990,000

Enforcement reaches

site blocking and payment blocking

Enforcement here touches the money, not just the domain, so a processor can be ordered to stop serving an operator.
