The Federal Court of Australia dismissed Bano Pty Ltd's application to stop Australian Settlements Limited, the ADI trading as Banking Circle in Australia, from cutting off its accounts on anti-money-laundering grounds, with costs. CoinPayments stops serving EU and EEA clients over MiCA

The gateway states that MiCA requirements stopped it serving clients based in the EU or EEA after 1 July 2026, that account access for those clients is paused with balances held separately until claimed, and that a return is not confirmed because timing depends on completing the regulatory steps. Malta sits inside the EEA, so an MGA licensee is exactly the operator it can no longer onboard.

Brazil's blocking rule carries a 48-hour report-back and reaches payment schemes

Resolution CMN 5.320 of 25 June 2026 runs to seven articles, and the 24-hour account freeze is only the first two. Article 3 puts the duty to reject betting-bound payments on payment arrangement institutors as well as on account-holding institutions, article 4 gives every bound institution 48 hours to report back to the SPA, and article 5 makes it close the account once a court confirms forfeiture. Brazil's betting block notices get a secure electronic channel within 90 days

Decree 13.033, published 19 June 2026, sets Brazil's procedure for blocking unlicensed betting accounts: the SPA draws up an irregularity finding naming the operator, its sites and the institutions holding its accounts, then issues a blocking notice. Article 2 counts payment institutions and payment scheme institutors as obligated institutions alongside banks, so a PSP is an addressee itself. Article 6 gives that notice system 90 days from publication, due in September 2026.
